Dr. Peter Derman joins AI company’s medical advisory board

Spine surgeon Peter Derman, MD, joined the medical advisory board at Metamorphosis, an artificial intelligence company focused on robotic surgery, the company’s chief technology officer Arno Blau, said in a July 29 LinkedIn post.

Dr. Derman, of Plano-based Texas Back Institute, is a leader in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery.

Metamorphosis is developing artificial intelligence tools to assist surgeons including autonomous pedicle screw drills.
