Dr. Paul Gardner to lead new NYU neurosurgery center

NYU Langone Health’s Department of Neurosurgery has tapped Paul Gardner, MD, to launch its Skull Base Surgery Center. 

Dr. Gardner is a skull base surgeon and an innovator of minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques, according to a Nov. 26 news release from NYU Langone Health. 

In addition to serving as director for the center, he has also been appointed as faculty of the Departments of Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Prior to joining NYU Langone, Dr. Gardner was director of the Center for Cranial Base Surgery and Pituitary Center of Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. 

Dr. Gardner has co-authored more than 435 peer-reviewed publications and co-written four books, the release said.
