Dr. Nikhil Murthy, Dr. Takashi Hirase perform 1st spinal tumor case with CMORE CT system

Neurosurgeon Nikhil Murthy, MD, and orthopedic spine surgeon Takashi Hirase, MD, of University of California Sand Diego Health, performed the world’s first spinal tumor case using icotec’s CMORE cervicothoracic system, according to a Feb. 17 LinkedIn post.

The CMORE CT system is a suite of instruments and implants designed for posterior stabilization.

The system is made with nonmetallic and radiolucent BlackArmor material and is made to reduce imaging artifact.
