Dr. Mauricio Valdes joins Hedley Orthopaedic Institute: 4 key notes

Physician Group of Arizona in Phoenix announced that Mauricio A. Valdes, MD, has joined its member Phoenix-based Hedley Orthopaedic Institute, according to an East Valley Tribune report.

Here are four key notes:

 

1. Dr. Valdes focuses on arthritis, disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, spinal deformities and scoliosis, as well as spinal tumors and infections.

 

2. His research focuses on improving the biology of spinal fusions by developing bone producing stem cell-based techniques.

 

3. Dr. Valdes completed his orthopedic residency and fellowship in spine surgery at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

 

4. Hedley Orthopaedic Institute offers the full-spectrum of musculoskeletal care at three locations in Arizona — Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa.
