The doll, Chelsea, features a removable back brace and is part of larger efforts to add Barbie dolls with different skin colors, body sizes and disabilities, according to a Feb. 1 news release from Mattel. Chelsea is the youngest in the Barbie family.

Dr. Macyszyn joined DISC as a physician partner in December. He will play a key role in DISC’s upcoming ASC and specializes in minimally invasive treatment for complex spinal disorders.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
