Four things to know:
1. Dr. Sekhon specializes in the diagnosis and management of several spine conditions, including cervical myelopathy, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, spinal tumors and trauma.
2. His practice incorporates motion preservation techniques, artificial discs, interbody fusion and minimally invasive spine surgery, among other procedures.
3. Dr. Sekhon’s research interests include cervical and lumbar disc prostheses, spinal implant designs and spinal cord injury.
4. In 2011, Dr. Sekhon founded nonprofit organization ThinkFirst of Northern Nevada, which educates high school students about head and spinal cord injury prevention.
