South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta recently onboarded adult and pediatric neurosurgeon Kimberly Mackey, MD, ValdostaToday.com reports.

1. Dr. Mackey specializes in the treatment of brain and spine tumors, spinal fusion and degenerative disc disease, among other conditions.

2. Her addition has enabled the hospital to provide 24/7 neurosurgical care.

3. Dr. Mackey will see patients at the hospital and at her practice, SGMC Neurosurgery in Valdosta.

4. She completed a neurological surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a fellowship in tumors and pediatric neurosurgery at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
