Dr. Singh, of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, performed an outpatient endoscopic lumbar discectomy on June 18 at Gold Coast Surgery Center in Chicago, he said in an Aug. 22 email to Becker’s.

Mr. Hembrough said in a video on Dr. Singh’s YouTube channel that he was injured while lifting weights and he was later cut from the Arizona Cardinals NFL team.

Dr. Singh said with surgery, the NFL player’s pain is gone, and he is training for a return to the league.
