Dr. Joseph Zabramski receives Medical Humanitarian of the Year award — 5 things to know

On Oct. 17, 2015, athletes from all over the United States will attend the sixth Annual Knuckle Ball Event in support of brain aneurysm, AVM and hemorrhagic stroke research and awareness. The event will honor those individuals who lost their life from these fatal conditions as well as survivors.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. This year’s event titled, A Pitch for Life, will be held at the JW Marriott Resort in Phoenix. The event will have a festive reception, silent auction, formal dinner, event program, LIVE auction as well as musical entertainment.

 

2. Tamala Jones, actress and brain aneurysm survivor, is the Special Guest Host. David Pratt, The Morning Mayor, will host the event.

 

3. The Joe Niekro Foundation will honor Petrice “TC” Shuttle as the Joe Niekro Humanitarian of the Year for her commitment and contributions to the Phoenix community.

 

4. Joseph Zabramski, MD, is the Medical Humanitarian of the Year recipient for his research and advancements and treatment studies on brain aneurysms, AVMs and hemorrhage strokes.

 

5. The Joe Niekro Foundation provides support and education on the risk factors, causes and treatment of brain aneurysms, AVM’s and hemorrhagic strokes.
