Dr. John Mansell debuts closed-loop spinal cord stimulator at Wyoming practice

John Mansell, MD, a pain management physician, was the first in the Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota or South Dakota region to implant a closed-loop spinal cord stimulator, the Gillette News Record reported Jan. 9.

Dr. Mansell, of the Wyoming Pain Institute in Gillette, used Saluda Medical’s spinal cord system, the report said. The device uses a feedback system that adjusts based on the spinal cord’s response.

Dr. Mansell has more than 32 years of experience in pain management.
