Dr. James Manzanares performs Seaside Surgery Center’s 1st outpatient spinal surgery: 5 highlights

James B. Manzanares, MD, performed the first outpatient spinal surgery at Naples, Fla.-based Seaside Surgery Center, according to Naples Daily Newss.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. Dr. Manzanares performed the one-hour minimally invasive spine surgery with the iO-Flex system.

 

2. The 79-year-old patient had spinal stenosis, and is recovering well.

 

3. The multispecialty, physician-owned ASC opened in November 2015.

 

4. Dr. Manzanares is affiliated with American Spine & Orthopaedic Institute, which has locations in Bonita Springs, Altamonte Springs, Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, all in Florida.

 

5. Dr. Manzanares completed his advanced spine reconstruction fellowship at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins.
