Dr. Michelson and his wife, Alya Michelson, formed the Twenty Million Minds Foundation to create and provide for the use of a digital, higher education textbook library. To win the scholarship, college students need to creatively answer the question “How do you cover the cost of textbooks?”
Dr. Michelson is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon and inventor, and he has been the sole inventor of more than 250 U.S.-patented instruments, operative procedures and medical devices. He was in private practice for 25 years.
