Dr. Potts is a neurosurgeon at Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent Hospital and a member of the board for Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in Indianapolis, according to a news release. He is also chair-elect of American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Section on the Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.

Dr. Potts will join Juan Uribe, MD, John Keller, MD, and Sigurd Berven, MD, who were also named as advisers in recent months. The surgeon advisers will assist Aclarion, which is focused on addressing lower back pain with Nociscan, a SaaS platform that facilitates diagnoses of the spine.

“In my clinical practice and through societal leadership roles, I continually strive to find the innovations that serve our industry and my patients. Nociscan represents a truly disruptive innovation that addresses a major gap in today’s diagnostic options,” Dr. Potts said in the release. “Aclarion has developed a non-invasive approach to collecting and analyzing biomarker data, which is revolutionizing the way low back pain is understood and treated.”
