Dr. Eric Grigsby Performs 1st Totalis Direct Spinal Decompression at Napa Surgery Center

Eric Grigsby, MD, recently performed the first minimally invasive spine surgery using the Totalis Direct Decompression procedure at Napa Surgery Center in Valle Verde, Calif.

The Totalis Direct Decompression System is designed for minimally invasive direct decompressions of the lumbar spine using VertiFlex’s proprietary interspinous access platform. The system has disposable and reusable instruments and is performed under local anesthesia. The company received FDA clearance for the product in November 2012.
