Don Stovall, MD, of Summerville, S.C.-based Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has completed 151 robot-assisted lumbar spine surgeries, a spokesperson told Becker’s March 8.
Dr. Stovall began using the ExcelsiusGPS sytem in 2012, according to an email. He was one of the first surgeons to use the robot, which works as a guide for more precise implant placement.
Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has four locations across South Carolina, according to its website.
