Daniel Park, MD, performed the first case in the Midwest using the ActiveL artificial disc, he said in an April 21 LinkedIn post.
The ActivL lumbar artificial disc rejoined the U.S. market under Highridge Medical in February.
Dr. Park is a spine surgeon at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in Chicago.
