Dr. Humphreys has taken three volunteer trips to Kenya since 2012, funded by his practice and was deeply affected by what he saw. He and his team have planned three more trips to Kenya this year.
Dr. Humphreys and his group are also working to organize the team’s efforts under a 501c3 nonprofit, with the working title of Kenai Spine Gives Back, according to the report.
Dr. Humphreys is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Spinal Injury Association. He completed fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
