Dr. Courtney Toombs joins Spine Medicine and Surgery of Long Island

Courtney Toombs, MD, a minimally invasive spinal surgeon, has joined Patchogue, N.Y.-based Spine Medicine and Surgery of Long Island, according to an Oct. 5 LinkedIn post.

Dr. Toombs joins Daniel Choi, MD, and Antigone Argyriou, MD, to provide surgical care at the practice. She will see patients at the practice’s Ronkonkoma and Garden City locations.  

Dr. Toombs recently completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital before completing her spine fellowship at New York City-based NYU Langone Hospital. She is the first woman from Yale to receive an orthopedic spine fellowship. 

She is trained in modern, advanced spine technologies, including minimally invasive spine surgeries and robotic-assisted and computer navigation-assisted spine surgery. She also has advanced training in endoscopic spine surgery.
