Dr. Ciro Randazzo earns ‘physician of the year’ award

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association recently named Ciro Randazzo, MD, as its 2020 Physician of the Year for his research on stroke care.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Randazzo is a neurosurgeon and partner at Paramus, N.J.-based IGEA Brain, Spine & Orthopedics.

2. His research explores new methods for treating neurological, spinal and neurovascular conditions. 

3. Dr. Randazzo’s clinical practice includes treating spinal cord injuries, and cranial and spinal tumor surgeries.

4. He completed his residency and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where he previously served as assistant professor of neurological surgery.
