Dr. Christopher Loftus Elected Treasurer of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies

Christopher Loftus, MD, chair of the department of neurosurgery of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., has been elected treasurer of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.

Dr. Loftus earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in New York. He completed his neurological surgery residency at The Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Medical Center. He is also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

 
The federation is a professional, scientific organization that represents about 30,000 neurosurgeons worldwide. It is comprised of five continental associations, 114 national neurosurgical societies and five affiliate societies.
