Four details:
1. Dr. Good will perform spine surgery on a 23-year-old patient with progressive scoliosis Jan. 24 at Reston (Va.) Hospital Center.
2. Co-developed by Medtronic and Mazor Robotics, the Mazor X Stealth Edition is designed to give surgeons greater control intraoperatively by combining intraoperative robotic guidance and navigation technology.
3. The system received FDA approval in November 2018.
4. Dr. Good serves as president of Reston-based Virginia Spine Institute as well as director of the institute’s scoliosis and spine deformity department.
