1. As medical director, he sits on the surgical services executive committee and Level 1 Trauma peer review committee as well as chairs the spine committee.
2. Dr. DeMassi also oversees the Memorial Spine Center.
3. He specializes in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, epilepsy surgery, movement disorder surgery, head trauma and brain tumor surgery.
4. Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University School of Medicine presented Dr. DeMassi with the Lawrence S. Lilienfield MD. PhD Award for Excellence in Physiology and Biophysics.
5. He completed his complex and minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at The University of Miami.
