The AR headset helps surgeons with pedicle screw placement.

“You used to have to dodge the view of a camera to do the surgery,” he said in the post. “But now, I can see through a patient’s skin.”

Dr. Hill is a spine surgeon with Jackson, Wyo.-based Teton Orthopaedics.

Another spine surgeon, Rick Price, MD, PhD, reached his 50-case milestone in February.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
