Dr. Bryan Fox Becomes Medical Director of Sentara Obici’s Comprehensive Spine Care Services in Virginia

Bryan Fox, MD, of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Suffolk, Va., was recently named medical director for Sentara Obici’s Comprehensive Spine Care Services, according to a practice news release.

Dr. Fox has expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery. In his new position, he will lead a task force of Sentara Obici healthcare professionals to establish management protocols of patients who receive spine care. The team aims to improve postsurgical outcomes and overall patient satisfaction.

Dr. Fox previously served in the U.S. Navy as an aviator, physician and chief of orthopedic spine surgery at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. He also served as a NASA flight surgeon for space shuttle launches and recoveries. He earned his medical degree at Ohio State University.
