Sky Ridge Medical Center is the first hospital in metro Denver to implement Augmedics’ Xvision Spine system, according to the report.

Dr. Kimball used the AR system to perform one adult spine surgery and one scoliosis surgery. The most recent procedure was performed Feb. 3.

“I feel like this technology allows me to take what I’ve mastered and amplify it in a way that the surgery is more precise, safer, faster, and there’s more confidence in it,” Dr. Kimball told Centennial Citizen. “The learning curve was very, very short.”

Becker’s has reported on two other hospitals that have implemented the technology in the last month.
