Dr. Anthony Yeung Donates $2.5M to Develop Endoscopic Spine Center at University of New Mexico Hospital

University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque announced it is developing a new endoscopic spine center, funded by a $2.5 million donation by Anthony T. Yeung, MD.

The Dr. Anthony T. and Eileen K. Yeung Endoscopic Spine Center at UNM Hospital will be part of the hospital’s Interdisciplinary Center for Spine Health.

 

Dr. Yeung, who practices at the Desert Institute for Spine Care in Phoenix, attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. In the 1990s, he developed an FDA-approved endoscopically-guided laser spine technique. He also created endoscopic surgery tools.
