Dr. Anthony Asher Named Director of American Board of Neurological Surgery

Anthony Asher, MD, of the Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates in Charlotte, N.C., has been named the director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

He joins the board of 14 directors selected from practicing neurosurgeons throughout North America. Directors are elected by nomination from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Society of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Academy of Neurological Surgery and Neurosurgical Society of America.

Directors serve six-year terms.

“This is a tremendous honor and I look forward to joining my fellow directors in advancing the mission of the American Board of Neurological Surgery,” Dr. Asher said in a statement.
