Andrew Manista, MD, performed the first robotic-assisted spine surgery in Washington using Mazor Robotics Renaissance Guidance System, according to a Thurston Talk report.

1. Dr. Manista is an orthopedic spine surgeon practicing at Olympia (Wash.) Orthopaedic Associates.

 

2. He performed the spine surgery at Capital Medical Center in Olympia in October 2015.

 

3. He has performed 44 robotic-guided spinal surgeries since then.

 

4. He completed his spine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
