Dr. Khalil won $10,000 from London-based MDHonors for his project “Spinal cord repair using biomaterial-based drug-releasing strategies for reducing scarring and promoting regeneration.”
One of the project’s goals is to reduce fibrosis to reduce scarring in both reparative surgical and dermatological applications.
