Dr. Alejandro Lopez performs New Jersey’s 1st fully endoscopic laminectomy

Alejandro Lopez, DO, performed New Jersey’s first fully endoscopic laminectomy using Amplify Surgical’s dualPortal technology, according to an Oct. 28 news release from Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care.

The milestone procedure was done in collaboration with Inspira Neuroscience. With dualPortal, Dr. Lopez operated through two small incisions.

“This new technology allows us to treat spinal conditions with even less tissue disruption, resulting in faster recovery and improved outcomes for our patients,” Dr. Lopez said. “We’re proud to be leading the way in bringing the latest minimally invasive spine techniques to patients here in New Jersey.”
