Detroit neurosurgeon’s death ruled a homicide

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death of neurosurgeon Devon Hoover, MD, a homicide, The Detroit Free Press reported April 27.

The medical examiner’s office found Dr. Hoover died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, the report said. He was found dead during a well-being check April 23.

Dr. Hoover specialized in neck and back disorders at  Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit.

Several people have taken to Facebook to remember Dr. Hoover with nearly 2,000 people joining a group called “Justice for Dr. Devon Hoover,” The Detroit Free Press reported.
