CPIhealth acquires Indiana spine practice, surgical center

Austin, Texas-based CPIhealth has acquired Midwest Interventional Spine Specialists and Serenity Surgical Center. 

Midwest Interventional Spine Specialists, which has clinic locations in Munster and Chesterton, Ind., is led by Shaun Kondamuri, MD, and Satish Dasari, MD. The surgery center is also located in Munster, Ind., according to an April 14 news release from CPI. 

The practice provides services including spinal cord stimulation, intradiscal procedures, percutaneous disc decompression, injections and non-surgical spine care.

CPIhealth adds five physicians and two nurse practitioners to its platform with the acquisition.

In addition to Indiana, CPI supports clinics and ASCs in Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, Colorado and Minnesota. 

CPIhealth is backed by private equity firm Iron Path Capital, the release said.
