Congress of Neurological Surgeons recognizes Dr. Mark Hadley with prestigious award

Mark N. Hadley, MD, received the 2018 Congress of Neurological Surgeons’ Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Hadley is a board-certified neurosurgeon and neurosurgery professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He specializes in spine conditions and performs 300 spine procedures each year on average.

He served as president of CNS in 2003 and as the organization’s secretary between 1997 and 2000. Dr. Hadley has served on the editorial board of Neurosurgery since 1999 and has published more than 200 scientific manuscripts.

He received his medical degree from Albany (N.Y.) Medical College and completed his neurosurgery residency at Phoenix-based Barrow Neurological Institute.
