Colorado hospital to shutter interventional spine services this summer

Southwest Health System in Cortez, Colo. will close its interventional spine services later in 2023, The Journal reported April 6.

Interventional spine services are expected to be discontinued in the summer, the report said. It is housed in the hospital’s main campus and operated by part-time traveling staffers.

The hospital is relocating one of its campuses to the main hospital, the report said. That clinic offers internal medicine and primary care services.

SHS is working with interventional spine patients to transition their care plans.
