The most recent virtual abstract covers a study published in the August 2017 issue titled “Anterior and Posterior Vertebral Column Resection Versus Posterior-only Technique: A Comparison of Clinical Outcomes and Complications in Congenital Kyphoscoliosis.”
The study authors found no symptomatic pulmonary function abnormalities among the study participants in the follow-up period and concluded the anterior-posterior VCR had comparable outcomes and complication rate when compared with the posterior VCR.
