Clinical Spine Surgery launches visual abstracts

Clinical Spine Surgery now includes virtual abstracts posted on the publication’s Twitter page.

Virtual Abstracts are designed as infographics for study abstracts, displaying information and images from the study in an easily digestible manner, according to and OpenMed article.

 

The most recent virtual abstract covers a study published in the August 2017 issue titled “Anterior and Posterior Vertebral Column Resection Versus Posterior-only Technique: A Comparison of Clinical Outcomes and Complications in Congenital Kyphoscoliosis.”

 

The study authors found no symptomatic pulmonary function abnormalities among the study participants in the follow-up period and concluded the anterior-posterior VCR had comparable outcomes and complication rate when compared with the posterior VCR.
