In July 2022, the FDA earned approval for the new Prodisc C Nova, according to an Oct. 31 news release.

This is Centinel’s third new cervical TDR product released since late 2022. The Prodisc C Vivo and Prodisc C SK products were both introduced on a limited basis in late 2022 and have been used in over 8,000 procedures since.

Alex Sielatycki, MD, a surgeon at Steamboat Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Steamboat Springs, Colo., performed the first Prodisc C Nova procedure.

Prodisc C Nova was co-developed by spine surgeon Rudolf Bertagnoli, MD, in Straubing, Germany, and first implanted in Europe in 2009.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
