Mr. Bouzakis spent the last 11 years as a healthcare consultant at Florida-based Navigant, previously holding roles at Miller Orthopaedic Clinic prior to its 2005 merger with Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists to become OrthoCarolina.

Mr. Bouzakis is taking over for Mary Cloninger, who served as CEO at the practice for 29 years.

CNSA provides brain and spine care services, including adult and pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, psychiatry, neurology, pain management and physical therapy, treating an average 1,200 patients per day, not including surgical cases, according to the report.

The organization also frequently partners with other healthcare systems like Atrium Health. It is one of the largest neurosurgical private practices in the U.S., with 10 locations across North and South Carolina.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
