The WatchTower navigation system will eliminate the need for intraoperative CT imagery, offering efficiency, radiation safety and cost-effective solutions for surgeons.
The navigation system has received FDA 510(k) clearance and is available for commercial use now.
“Spinal fusion procedures have become less invasive and post-operative significantly more effective, making same-day lumbar fusion surgery a reality,” Mr. McPhillips said in a Feb. 20 press release. “This, along with the recent changes in the CMS inpatient-only list, makes ASC [minimally invasive] spinal fusion a real opportunity for surgeons and patients.”
