California’s Marin General Hospital Launches Spine & Brain Institute

Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, Calif., has launched the Marin General Hospital Spine & Brain Institute that adds elective neurosurgery to its existing spine and trauma program, according to a hospital news release.

The new services are a result of a joint venture between Mt. Tam Spine Center, Marin General Hospital and UCSF Neurosurgery. The new program will offer advanced technologies and treatments, including minimally invasive surgeries. Surgeons participating in the program will also be taking call for trauma and ED.

The program will specifically address spinal decompression, trauma, infection, cervical fusion, treatment for thoracic or lumbar instability and scoliosis. The institute will also diagnose and treat brain tumors and cerebrovascular disorders.
