Bon Secours debuts regional spine institute

Marriottsville, MD.-based Bon Secours has debuted the Bon Secours Spine Institute in Richmond, Va., a regional program that coordinates spine care across multiple specialties for patients with chronic back pain and other spinal conditions.

The institute combines orthopedic spine care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, surgery and rehabilitation services within a single care model. It also includes a nurse navigation program to help direct patients to the appropriate specialist based on their symptoms, medical history and prior treatment, according to a June 29 news release shared with Becker’s

The Bon Secours Spine Institute offers nonsurgical pain management, minimally invasive procedures, robotic-assisted spine surgery and rehabilitation services. Care is provided by orthopedic and neurosurgery spine surgeons, physician assistants, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, and nurse navigators.

Patients can access services across Virginia at Richmond-based Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital and Bon Secours Spine Care at Sauer Center, Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg and Bon Secours Tuckahoe Orthopedics in Short Pump.
