Bayhealth Neurosurgery names Dr. Dawn Tartaglione medical director

Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth Neurosurgery welcomed board-certified neurosurgeon Dawn Tartaglione, DO, as its new medical director.

Dr. Tartaglione performs brain and spine surgeries. Prior to joining Bayhealth, Dr. Tartaglione was an attending neurosurgeon with AllianceHealth Midwest in Midwest City, Okla. She previously served as neurosurgery chief at Grand Blanc, Mich.-based Genesys Regional Medical Center.

She received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her internship and neurosurgery residency at Garden City (Mich.) Hospital through the East Lansing-based Michigan State University Consortium. Dr. Tartaglione served as a member of Michigan State University’s clinical faculty.

Dr. Tartaglione was named a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She is currently the immediate past president of ACOS and has served on their board of governors and as president of their neurosurgery discipline.
