Baptist Health adds nonsurgical spine physician

Coral Gables, Fla.-based Baptist Health’s Miami Neuroscience Institute has added Adriana Arenas, MD, as a nonsurgical spine care physician, effective Jan. 6.

Dr. Arenas specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, treating spine conditions, neurologic injuries and musculoskeletal disorders, according to a Jan. 6 news release. Her clinical focus includes electrodiagnostic testing, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and skin biopsies for small fiber neuropathy.

She also treats spasticity with botulinum toxins and performs injections for sialorrhea, cervical dystonia, temporomandibular joint disorders and migraines. Dr. Arenas also provides care for amputees, and conducts wheelchair evaluations and orthotic prescriptions.
