The recognition is only held by 29 hospitals across the country, according to a Dec. 18 news release.
The two-day review by the Joint Commission recognizes facilities for their commitment to safe, patient-centered care, infection prevention, medication management and patient outcomes.
Atrium Health Pineville and Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center were also recently recertified for spine surgery excellence.
