The new construction is part of a larger $325 million expansion of Ascension’s campus. The four-story hospital aims to address growing demand for neuroscience clinical spaces. It will have eight operating rooms, 36 ICU beds and an intensive care step-down unit.
Carmel, Ind.-based Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, a longtime partner of Ascension St. Vincent, will be one of the groups staffing the hospital. A residency training program is also expected to be established at the hospital.
The Brain and Spine Hospital is slated to open in 2024.
