1. Sean Mackey, MD, PhD, of Stanford (Calif.) University, received the Wilbert E. Fordyce Clinical Investigator Award for achievement in clinical research.
2. Michael Gold, PhD, of University of Pittsburgh, won the Frederick W.L. Kerr Basic Science Research Award for excellence in clinical pain scholarship.
3. Christine Chambers, PhD, of Nova Scotia-based Dalhousie University, earned the Jeffrey Lawson Award for enhancing pain management in pediatric healthcare settings.
4. Stefan J. Friedrichsdorf, MD, of Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota, won the Elizabeth Narcessian Award for outstanding education achievements in pain management.
5. Jennifer A. Haythornthwaite, PhD, of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University received the Distinguished Service Award for commitment to the American Pain Society.
6. Paul Christo, MD, MBA, of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, received the John and Emma Bonica Public Service Award for contributions through public education or public service.
7. Zina Trost, PhD, earned the John C. Liebeskind Early Career Scholar Award for early career achievement in pain scholarship.
8. Rachael Rabkin Peachman received The Kathleen M. Foley Journalist Award for excellent reporting on pain-related topics.
