Aclarion has a case study featured in the upcoming Special Pain Issue of the International Journal of Spine Surgery focused on its Nociscan diagnostic tool, according to a Dec. 4 news release.
Aclarioin’s Tech Update article features a case study of a 27-year-old patient with chronic lower back pain. An MRI suggested that levels L4/5 and L5/S1 were the sources of pain. A subsequent Nociscan evaluation found pain biomarkers only for L5/S1, and the patient had a disc replacement at that level.
Nociscan is the first evidence-supported SaaS platform to help physicians distinguish between painful and nonpainful discs in the lumbar spine.
