Dr. Ames is director of spinal deformity and spine tumor surgery at UCSF, according to a company news release. He’s also co-director of the UCSF Spine Center.

He joins Eric Potts, MD, Juan Uribe, MD, John Keller, MD, and Sigurd Berven, MD, who were also named as advisers in recent months. They will assist Aclarion, which is focused on addressing lower back pain with Nociscan, a SaaS platform that facilitates diagnoses of the spine.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
