Dr. McCormick has a professional interest in the evaluation and management of spine and spinal cord disorders. His expertise is in treatment of spinal cord tumors and vascular malformations. During his career, he has published 170 peer-reviewed articles and currently serves on the editorial boards for five spine and neurosurgery journals. He is also vice director and vice chair of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. McCormick earned his medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Health. He also completed a neurosurgery residency at the Neurological Institute of New York and a fellowship in spine surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
