AANS Names Dr. H. Hunter Batjer President-Elect

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons named H. Hunter Batjer, MD, FAANS, president-elect for 2015 to 2016.

Dr. Batjer is the chair of the department of neurological surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and co-chair on the National Football League’s Head, Neck and Spine Committee and past-chair for the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Past leadership roles include past-president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Society of University Neurosurgeons.

 

During his career, Dr. Batjer was also Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s first Chair of Neurological Surgery.
