9 Hospitals & Health Systems Expanding Spine Programs

Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis announced that its neurosurgeons can now offer a new minimally invasive option for complex spine surgery using O-arm technology.

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., named Alec L. Meleger, MD, director of interventional spine services.

 

UCLA researchers Daniel Lu, MD, and Reggie Edgerton, MD, received a five-year, $6 million grant from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering for research on cervical spinal cord injury therapies.

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz., built a $50 million surgical wing, which includes suites for brain and spine surgery.

 

University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio announced the addition of orthopedic spine surgeon Zachary Child, MD.
